There's no obligation. If you're not happy after switching to an energy company we recommend, you can leave at any time.
The ability to switch energy companies depends on where you live. If you live in a deregulated state, you are free to choose from any available electricity company. Find out if you live in a deregulated area.
Are you interested in reducing your impact on the environment? If so, you may want to use an energy source that is generated from renewable sources like wind or solar. In many states, we have plans that offer electricity that is 100% wind generated. Also, all of our energy sources have low CO2 emissions.
The process to switch electricity providers is simple. We represent quality, reliable energy companies with great customer service that have met the state's requirements to be a certified electricity supplier. Once you fill out our on-line request form, you will be contacted by a sales representative for that electricity supplier who will quote electricity rates, answer all of your questions and make sure you are getting the plan that is right for you. Your new provider will notify your local utility of your decision to switch and they will work together to seamlessly change your electricity supply. Your local utility will still be responsible for your meter reads and your bill (except Texas customers) but you will see a change in the electricity supplier. For billing issues, you would still contact your local utility and they still maintain the power lines making them your point of contact in the event of an outage or any repair issues.
